Red Wine Twist consists of Allison and Matt Magee (vocals, guitars, various percussion), Justin Goss (bass and guitar), Nick Roth (piano, various), and, at this point in time, a computer (drums, percussion, fx), as well as occasional guest musicians. We are the estranged, unacknowledged lovechild of the bands Alli Magee and Her All Male Orchestra and The Sesame Streakers.

The Streakers, despite beginning with great promise, eventually devolved into a mere garage band playing garage-based non-gigs in Walla Walla out of a fervent hope that Peter Buck of R.E.M. would hear us across the street and come over to jam. These dreams unrealized, much of the band moved away, most starting other, better, projects.

Nick and Matt maintained close contact through their mutual love of one another's songwriting, and Nick's wife. They joined with long-time friend Justin and Matt's sister: Alli "The One With Talent" Magee, to form the highly popular, world-changing, will-play-a-real-gig-any-day-now phenomenon that is Red Wine Twist.
